Currently filing the following complaints with the BBB:
1.) Woodbury Country Club failed to provide an Ice Sculpture for our Outdoor Cocktail Hour event on June 18th 2011 which was part of the Contractual Agreement given to us by Woodbury Country Club.
2.) Woodbury Country Club failed to provide actual (Alcoholic) Champagne in toast glasses on every table setting during our Wedding Reception on June 18th 2011. Instead Apple Juice was served at every table setting. Our contract from Woodbury Country Club stated that Champagne would be served on every table setting.
3.) Instead of previously agreed fees of first 10 children free, each additional will be charged $10, Woodbury Country Club had charged $60 for each of the 18 children at the event, totaling $1080.00. All 18 children can be proven to have attended the event via RSVP and photos taken.
Woodbury Country Club threatened to not staff our party unless all of the kids were paid for on the day of the event. The staff were extremely rude to our guests, even mocking them at times during and before the Wedding Reception. Important family members were not allowed into our cocktail hour because of incompetent and uneducated staff members, creating a very embarrassing situation. Jeff and Steve were horrific to deal and did not care about our satisfaction at all. It is a shame they are in charge of running that place.
I was just reading news about WCC and in August 2010, a whole valet box full of car keys was stolen right in front of their eyes at a wedding. No one got their keys back.
There are plenty of other venues near WCC that are nicer, equally affordable and have much better customer service. If you are considering this place for your wedding/reception, you will be very disappointed. It is supposed to be a pleasant experience, but at WCC you will feel cheated for sure.
