Review content:
Putnam never fails to disappoint. I tried to order a gift basket to be delivered by the end of the same day. When I called I was told it couldn't be made until two days later. I pointed out that according to their website they only needed four hours notice (how long does it take to make a simple gift basket that includes about six items?). The woman on the other end was apologetic but hardlly accommodating. In this day and age, with internet reviews, Putnam should be more customer-service oriented. I know the two owners and having known them for ten years, nothing has changed. Both always struck me as rude and full of themselves (you rarely get greeted by them when you enter their store). Anyone in Saratoga who wants to open a new gourmet store should - anything would be better than Putnam Street Marketplace.
Pros: Only game in town
Cons: Customer service
