TWO Miscarriages! They never had a clue. I was bleeding from Dec 24th until Jan. 27th I explained to nurse Tina and NP Mary Cowan I had taken a pregnancy test (which was told was false) and had been bleeding for over a month. No blood work was ever done. I was told there was no way I was pregnant. I had been on the pill. She had me double up my BC taking two different pills together one a lower estrogen and one a high one. If the bleeding doesn't stop by Friday call me back. So I did and this time I was seen by my primary Dr. Sullivan. I expressed my pain in the lower right side. Both the nurse and Doctor said they felt nothing and no cyst. Dr. Sullivan said i must have pulled a mussel. That would be the only reason i would feel pain in that spot. He said I know what will make the bleeding stop and gave me topical Estrogen to take with my BC(back to one pill). He said this is common of women who have been on the pill long periods of time. According to my pill pack I will start my period again in ten days. It never came. I figured my body was out of whack because of the previous cycle. I took a test on Feb 27th and was pregnant. I called MW and expressed my concern with the birth control. Tina said we need to do some blood work to see if I was in fact pregnant. On Monday the 5th of March I get a message stating I'm pregnant. Being at work I was unaware and called the office around three and spoke with Tina who is assistant to NP Mary Cowan. She says confirms and sound annoyed, i again ask about the BC and its effect on my child. She says ""We already went over this"" and said ""Yes, you gave me no answer and asked I get blood work to see if I was IN FACT pregnant."" Tina: ""Well whats done is done!"" I made an apt with Rockhill whom I had been in care for both of my boys. They made my apt for the 15th of March. They were concerned I'm farther along because of the previous cycle. Possibly 15-16wks. On March 9th I was rushed to rockhill at St. Joseph Hospital. I was bleeding and the pain in my side I had previously was back. Blood work showed I was miscarrying. Thankfully no DNC. I'm still waiting for Midwest to fax my Medical Records to Rockhill. Impatient I called Tina back because they failed to give me my blood test counts. (Rockhill frowned upon this) She told me it was 120 and 10. If that is in fact true than I was only six weeks along and probably miscarried in December too. They are frustrated with this diagnosis because no blood work was ever done and pending Medical Records Midwest can say whatever they like. I will forever remember ""what's done is done"" and it appears I'm not alone! I wonder how many of us there really are. Just saddens my heart to no end!
