Where to begin first of all the staff was the rudest individuals i have ever seen! The store literally is falling apart, as you walk through it drops of water from what i assume was a fish tank filtration system fall on you and cover you in dirty fish tank water. we drove an hour and a half to see if this store had any different varieties of fish because according to them they have the best selection of fish in st. louis.... ha. they had nothing more than every other fish store i have been to! When we tried to ask the employee ( who we later learned was a manager!) a question he just blew us off and acted like we were bothering him. We finally got his attention long enough to try to get our question answered and before he could answer he began to argue with who i am guessing was his boyfriend about him smoking cigarrettes. We bought two fish that cost $30 each and the guy catching them acted like he had never used a net before chasing them around like a crazy person it was so bad he had to get a second person to help him. He didn't even let us look at the fish before running off to the back room to bag them up in 2 bags . we couldn't see through both bags so were trusting him on his word that they were good, healthy fish. when we got them home and put them in the tank one of the fish looked like it had been rubbed across concrete or something. it was so tore up we could not recognize that the two fish were the same breed. we drove an hour and a half again to take it back the next day and told a different guy that was working that we would never come back to his store due to the bad fish as well as the bad service and he acted like oh, well. This guy treated us just as bad as the ones the day before , he did not apologize or try to make things right. i have never been treated like this at a business. my advice would be if you want fish in the St. Louis area DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! there is a place close by called TROPICAL WORLD that has a better variety of fish as well as great service. Pros: none! that shop is pathetic! Cons: horrible run down store, not enough fish, BAD SERVICE
