Businiess name:  Mene Sushi

Review content:
I visited Mene Sushi while in town on a business trip, and expected it to be good from the reviews here. I was extremely dissapointed. The place was busy, loud, and packed with kids. My first thought was ""Is this the Chuck E Cheese of Sushi?"" The disposable chopsticks in tear open paper wrappers didn't add much class either. The wait staff seemed confused and incompetent. The girl that waited on me got yelled at because I ordered more sushi after eating some, .nd she wrote 2 tickets for it instead of adding to the first order. She also had no idea what Inari sushi was when I asked for it, and had to go ask someone, which took about 5 minutes. I got Vegas, Volcano, and Sakura rolls, plus an Inari. My Vegas roll came out with 2 extra pieces of sushi ont he plate that I had no idea what they were. They weren't assembled well, so i had to assume they were part of a roll gone wrong thrown in for bonus. The Sakura roll and Inari weren't bad, but the others were pretty terrible. The flavors weren't bad, but the textures didn't blend. The nori was tough, and after chewing up the sushi pieces some, you could easily separate the components of the roll in your mouth into 'too chewy', 'too tough', and 'just mush' with your tongue. It reminded me of the bad sushi I had in the past that made me hate it, until I finally found a good sushi place. I also felt sick to the stomach after eating here. I had to spend some time in the bathroom once I got back to my hotel room, with bad stomach pains, which never happens when I have sushi elsewhere. The one good thing was the price. Rolls here were typically $8-9, where I would pay $11-12 for the same thing where I go back home. Of course, the extra $ is worth not getting sick, and a better atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If this is really the best sushi in the area, then I'm sorry for the people that live there! If you're ever in the Akron, OH area, check out Sakura Sushi. It's the best I've found yet! Pros: Inexpensive compared to other places. Cons: Bad atmosphere, 'cheap' feeling with disposible chopsticks, not very good sushi.
