Review content:
Dr. Katz needs to learn from me as a patient that a patient's pain can indeed be real!! Rather than insinuating that my pain was unfounded, or all in my head due to stress or other emotions, he should've dived right into reviewing my medical history and treated me as the educated person I am. Instead, he bounced me from one medication to another for approx 2-3 months, before telling me ""I have no more to offer you"". I had to ""direct him"" to write a referral letter to Dr. Delaney for my diagnostic surgery, saying that if he would not do that, I wanted him to write in my medical file that I would be holding him accountable, because my pain was real and my hometown doctors had both sent me to Cleveland for dianostic surgery and no one was taking it seriously. Thank goodness I pressured Dr. Katz, because the diagnositc surgery turned into major surgery, with Meckles Diverticulum & a section of my small intestine removed, along with my descending colon being removed, which was necrotic with a giant twisted diverticulum and on the verge of perforation.
Pros: due to my insistence, he did write referral letter to Dr. Delaney
Cons: could not diagnose my need for surgery; insinuated my pain was all in my head
