I am active duty Air Force. This store is obviously not far from our base. My friend and I are not big drinkers but were heading to a going away (sending a friend to IRAQ) and went in this store to purchase some beverges. We were on our lunch and both in uniform. My friend is 23 I am 29. We each have out of state drivers lic. but obviously have Active Duty Military ID's (a FEDERAL ID). This store DENIED selling to us because we didn't have a MASS ID!!!! Last time I checked a FEDERAL ID trumpted a STATE ID. The person waiting on us stated is was a new MASS law that they will only except MASS ID's. So we looked it up, it's not. When I called the store back they retracted by saying it was an in-store policy. He said they'd had problems serving people w/ out of state ID's so now they only take MASS. AGAIN, FEDERAL trump all. I found this store to be poorly run and pretty trashy, but still?!? Not that we're lushes, but if you serve someone you should serve the people fighting for your freedom to serve anyone at all!!!! STEER CLEAR!
