Businiess name:  Gritty Mc Duff's
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Right smack in the middle of the Old Port in Portland, Gritty's is a great place to meet friends for a happy hour pint, to get a mellow lunch, or to party like a rock star. Their beer is tasty and there's a wide selection to please any palette. (I'd recommend the stout if it's in season.) Their burgers are tasy, too. Gritty's underwent renovations in early 2002 to make the main room roomier. (On most weekend nights without fail, the bar would be so packed that you could barely walk through!) But despite the occasional crowd, the beer is good, the atmosphere relaxed and casual, and the food what you'd expect from a good pub. Try it for yourself! Pros: Good beer, Convenient location, Casual Cons: Sometimes crowded, Pricy, Poor service
