Businiess name:  Robert V Oswald Land Surveyors

Review content:
Beware - In August of 2008 Oswald Surveyors surveyed the property adjacent to mine, and a property across the street. The neighbor adjacent to the property across the street which was surveyed, called Mr. Oswald without success severeal times to inform him it was incorrect. The neighbor who called him and I got together, found an old survey, and located a monument. I called Mr. Oswald - he immediately returned my phone call and came to see us. He explained that his surveys were always accurate - they were based on old stone wall locations, old monuments etc. etc. That he had done many surveys in the area. We showed him the old survey and monument. He borrowed the survey and left - his crew returned and repeated the surveys. Lo and behold he moved his original markers 2 feet 3 inches in both the complaining neighbors favor and mine. My neighbors are now convinced that I ""stole"" their property and do not speak to me. Ditto the neighbors across the street. My surveyed property line is still incorrect - on the original filed map of my development (circa 1970), my line is straight. The final line that Oswalds crew posted is not straight. I have filed an official complaint with the New York State Office of the Professions. It should also be noted that I never saw Mr. Oswald on site when either survey was performed. Cons: Makes errors and tries to convince you it's OK
