Review content:
What a rip-off! I purchased two microdermabrasion treatments at Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology in Oak Brook, IL. I have undergone microdermabrasion procedures at other offices in the past and it?s always been a painless or even an enjoyable experience, so I feel that I have a good comparison on how it should be performed and what it should feel like. My treatment at Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology was by far the worst experience I have ever had during a cosmetic procedure. First Dr. Abboud came into the room to introduce himself, he immediately tried to talk me into additional treatments and a professional visit with him, which I said from the start I wasn?t interested in, then his assistant came to do the treatment, she lacked any skill or professional knowledge about the procedure or any other skin treatments; she didn?t wash her hands or wear gloves before reaching for my face ? I had to ask her to do so, she dropped the gauze she was wiping my face with on the carpet and was going to continue using it ? I had to ask her to replace it with a new gauze. Because the machine wouldn?t work, she kept hitting it; when she finally got it to work, she was very rough on my face - the wand seemed uneven so her strokes were painful and felt like scratches. When I told her that I don?t feel any suction she noticed that she didn?t turn the crystals on, after a few minutes she ran out of the crystals and informed me that she didn?t have more to fill the machine with and therefore my treatment was over. She also told me not to worry because if the doctor would have performed the treatment it would have only lasted up to 10 minutes and she has already been working on me for 15, so I am getting my money?s worth. At the end she tried to apply a secret ingredient cream to my face which was a home remedy made by the doctor in their office. Aside from the treatment being overpriced and of extremely poor quality, it was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in a clinic or even an esthetician?s office. I wouldn?t go back there even if I was paid to do so.
