Review content:
My name is Debra Herman and I am the owner of Stained Glass Creations. I would like to set the record straight. Dale Tiffany is a manufacturer of stained glass lamps & windows from LaMirada, Ca. who does in FACT assemble their lamps in China. They make no apologies for that. Second: Any intelligent person would do their research before criticizing someones work. You do not and never have used PAINT in the construction of a ""Tiffany Lamp"" unless it has a scene painted on the glass before assembly which this repair did not! The use of a chemical called patina is sometimes applied to the lead or solder to change the metal from gray to black or copper. Dale Tiffany uses a lower grade solder than we do in the production of their products and can in fact be hard to work with. Also the patina which reacts to the metal will be slightly darker or lighter on different grades of solder. As I recall the difference was barely noticable. Is a matter of fact the glass match was more noticable.Third: As far as the amount of time it takes to do a repair, it takes as much time as it takes. There are no shortcuts if you do the repair properly. Typically we have between 10-20 repairs in our shop at any one time. We do the reapirs in the order recieved. Since the husband wasn't present during the incidecnt he says occurred, this review is pure heresay. When the customer was not happy with the results of the repair, we did not charge her for this repair, so the comment about spending MORE money to fix it is also a lie. The entire reason for the customer insulting our workmanship was so she could leave without paying for our hard work and she did succeed. We have been in business for 29 years and have only had good things written about our store so I needed to set the record straight on this ONE bad review. Our repeat customer only have wonderful things to say about Stained Glass Creations and its employees.
