(11/12/11) I had a scheduled appointment with this location to service my furnace today. I spoke to Jacky, the receptionist. on 11/11/11. I agreed on a price of $78 for a tune up only as she stated this would be the best price versus just a service call that was $69. I was scheduled from 2 to 4. I received a call today at 9 AM from Jacky telling me that other calls had come in and they are wanting me to reschedule, stating that other peoples units don't work and need units worked on versus my unit that just needed a tune up. I said no, I'd like to keep the same schedule and told them that I did not want to use my unit as it's not working properly. Jacky then stated that if it's not working properly then it's going to be a charge of $69 plus a tune up of $78 after. I told her that's not what we agreed on yesterday. She stated that they cant tune up a unit that doesn't work. I again explained to her that it did work, just not properly. We again agreed on the $78 tune up; however left an open window that if it was a diagnostic problem, it would be a $69 charge plus whatever it took to fix the problem. She told me they'd be out from 3 to 4PM. I waited and waited. At 4 PM I called and she said it would be closer to 5PM when they came. I waited again. At 5:30 I received another call from them stating that it would be 6PM by the time they showed up. At 6:30 I left. I had waited 4 hours for them to show up. I had not eaten all day and was starving. At 6:45 I received a call from the technician stating that he was coming out to the house to work on the unit. I told him that I didn't appreciate him calling me after he was already late and that I'd waited on him for 4 hours. After thinking about it for a while (steaming angry at this point) I believe what they did is they waited to the last moment to see me because my call was just needing a tune up versus the opportunity to make more money for a sales call to the other people's units today. Each time I was on the phone with them (3 times), I was harassed by Jacky to sign up for a $19.99 / month fee which is more expensive than a tune up. Needless to say this is the absolute worst service experience I have ever had with a company. I've never had a company do a new client like this. I'm calling Delmonde on Monday. While writing this review, I've read about bad reviews on this company, including sabatoge to people's units to make them purchase a new unit at a higher cost. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
