We called in for the ""priority seating"" which they claim to seat you in 30 minutes if you call in & put your name on the list. So we were down for 8:00 which means we should have been in our seat by 8:30. We were not seated until 9:30 & there were also several other very unhappy couples who had been there longer than we had. If we had not been given a gift card for Stoney River we wouldnt have stayed. If we are paying for dinner, I refuse to wait more than a half hour for a table anywhere. I havent located food worth waiting longer for. But since we were using a gift card, we sat there and waited and waited and waited. We were seated in the ""non smoking"" section which happened to be a stones throw from the bar, where smoking is permitted. Like there's some invisible line that stops the smoke from entering the designated ""non smoking"" area. But anyway. The fireplace was lit which made for a lovely and cozy ambience. I ordered the prime rib but since we'd waited an hour and a half for a table they'd run out right before I ordered. So I was forced to quickly pick another option. I dont even recall which cut of meat I selected but it was seasoned with some kind of rosemary rub. I liked that when the server brought out our steaks she requested we cut them down the center to verify it was cooked like we wanted. Our steaks were delicious and the cesear salad was yummy. We also split a gigantic chocolate cake that came with two shots of milk (needed more milk). It was so rich neither of us could eat much at one time. We took it home and I ate on it three more times & my husband had two more deserts from it. It was very pricey on the front end but since it lasted us several days it was worth it. Our server was lovely and attentive until the end then it appeared that she also had to engage in her close up duties even though she still had patrons. We knew it was pricey going in but the food was good and we may return there for special occasions but not very often. Pros: Fireplace, steak, desert, service Cons: Waiting, Pricey, Crowded, non smoking section right next to bar
