Review content:
We saw the November review and were disheartened to think that one of our favorite restaurants was failing. We did additional research and ended up talking to the ownership. We found that a temporary chef was in charge in late October and November and that the new permanent chef was now on duty. We made the decision to try the new chef and menu and were NOT DISAPPOINTED. The staff (although very young) are being well trained. They were attentive and other than minor lapses (like not having the special offerings memorized quite accurately) were attentive and friendly. The menu was very interesting and had a number of our favorites still on the menu. We had the mushroom salad and the roasted brussel sprouts as our first course. We had the rack of lamb which was prepared perfectly and scollops with soft polenta (both of which were perfect - not easy for either item). The portions were ample - we were not able to fit dessert into the plan.
