Review content:
We were treated so wonderful when we first visited Martin Lake Resort, but after we were swindled into a membership that's when everything changed. On Mother?s Day weekend, the owner Jerry got ugly and disrespectful with my family in front of my face. All he wants is your money and doesn't care how you are treated. They claim to be a ""resort"" but it is nothing more than a glorified trailer park with full time residents and run down trailers. Jerry deceptively told us they were snow birds from up north and would be leaving in April, and did not. We were promised to be signed up with Coast-to-Coast by Jerry in 4-6 weeks; to this day he still hasn?t done what he promised. Around the 8th week after signing a contract to become members, we decided to send MLR a certified return receipt letter stating how unhappy we were with the campground and the problems we had faced in only 3 visits in the 2 months that we were members. Essentially, Martin Lake Resort broke 3 parts of the contract and we wanted to be released from the contract. We received no reply in anyway shape or form other than two past due invoices. They must be out of their minds if they think I am going to pay to go to a place that treats you disrespectfully, not to mention all the other issues and problems we have faced. I am concerned about anyone who goes to MLR and signs a contract with them, they are very dishonest and I believe are running a scam. Think twice before visiting this place. There is more information about my problems in detail with MLR on my website talktokate
