Poor use of policy
I am a rather humble person when it comes to resources available to buy material for my wood working.
So... when I do buy tools I need quality and some reliability of machinery on my side.
I was recently asked politely to pickup my Atlas scroll saw that I had bought around 7 months ago from Asheville hardware from the manager himself.
I was also told NO store credit NOR cash would be allotted for my troubles with the antique saw I feverishly tried to make work in my workshop.
Further more ... I was asked not to return.
The owner .. a man who explained to me that he can decide who he does or does not do business with..
claimed I made a scene in the store when frustrations were expressed around their (must be) more valuable customers.
So... tomorrow Ill head over to pick up a tool sold on consignment to me sooooo long ago that no honest store would be able, through policy, to do anything other than refuse the loss.
Funny.. when I had called them twice in the period where returns would have been possible they merely suggested i look on line and gave me some sites that might help me get 'er done. ( Never telling me there was even a return possibility)
SO ... TRUTH BE TOLD ...
The service I need may not even exist anymore :
A store thats not trying to get you out of the door with their stuff.
But one thats trying its best to help you.
The world is full of b.s. sales people these days...
now say I am just bad mouthing your ideas of good business Asheville Hardware.
Asheville Hardware...Naw.... maybe Craigslist..?
