there is no sign or name on the front, only a stainless trim with blue bulbs which makes you skeptical as a new patron. the entrance posts a menu taped sideways and with an awkward head turn i read. the decor was industrial with subtle contemporary furniture and very little lighting as we were seated in the rear next to the entrance for the outdoor seating area. we were the only couple there at noon but i noticed ""2 turntables and a microphone"" set up and i knew this place was a neighborhood hot spot or a nuisance (depending on your view). ""sorry, no credit cards"" jumps out at you in the menu and is accompanied by a sheet of handwritten specials. all skepticism flew out the door as the first of 3 appetizers were sampled. the chicken spring rolls had a great aroma, the thai house salad was superb, and the thai corn fritters were an absolute treat and earned the distinction of a repeat order for home enjoyment. the special crispy duck in masaman was not available, but my substituted Kang Masaman with beef and my companions Moo Kratiam was prepared quickly as the appetizers were taken and packed. i sampled her dish with hesitation as i only assumed Song could not prepare everything as good as delightful as our appetizers, but i was amazed and even more with my own. the Masaman coconut curry sauce reminded me of a lost but not forgotten Indian entree but with a twist. the beef danced in the bowl but played such a small role compared to the flavor of the sauce. the iced coffee and thai ice tea made it a complete meal. the service was on point and did not require our attention. again, this place does not take credit cards so we paid an extremely reasonable bill and i left there as if i found gold and wanted to keep it to myself. after reflecting, it was only fair that i gave them praise. enjoy! Pros: Cost, Food, Sevice Cons: No Credit Cards
