I live on the same block and have gone here at least twenty times (not including take-out). Food: extremely tasty and full of exotic flavors/spices- highly recommend the mussels appetizer, the squid pad thai, and the skirt steak special (ask for the hot pepper/hot sauce tray as well, which contains four types of hot seasoning). Prices - very cheap, considering the quality of the food and the neighborhood (yes, unfortunately full of organically-clothed yuppie-hippy-mommies). My girl and I usually get a bottle of wine (about $20), two appetizers ($5-$7 each), two entrees ($9-$13 each), leave a 20% tip, and usually have 2 rounds of drinks at the bar ($5-$7 each) while we wait. So, the max I'm usually laying is $80-$90 for 2, and that includes A LOT of food (much of it taken home and eaten on Sunday morning - sounds gross but it's GEWD!!!) and 4 drinks each (2 each at the bar and 2 each in the bottle of wine. So, if you don't drink, you're looking at a miniscule $40-$50 for 2). The wait for a reasonably-sized table (2-4) is never, ever more then 45 minutes, so I'm not sure what all the complaining is about. Song is popular and doesn't take reservations, so I don't think a little time chatting with your friends/family while you sit at the bar or wait outside in the pretty nabe is such a big deal. Finally, regarding some negative comments here - yes, sometimes people get loud in there, and yes, drunk people screaming right next to you CAN be annoying. But can't you just relax and have fun? It might be cathartic. The music is loud, the people are loud, and the place is busy...Song is no place to discuss the the latest ""breakthrough"" you've had in therapy, the difficulties in adhering to the latest zeitgeist in affluent, urban parenting, or the misogyny of Phillip Roth. Pros: Food, Prices Cons: A bit of a wait, you might see breast feeding, men in bad sandals
