This training works and is the best! If you commit to the technique and have an open mind about the psychology of dogs, you will get more than you ever expected. I had Richard Heinz himself train my dog, and she, Dolly, is the envy of the neighborhood and all that meet her. It's not about the electric collar or prong collars, it's about treating a dog like a dog and learning to understand what they need and how to treat them. I think it is cruel to bring a dog into a human world and expect them to respond like a human. I have the dream dog because he taught me to be the leader in the house and therefore she follows me with respect and love. She is the happiest dog on the planet and that is the first thing people notice about her. She loves people and other dogs and does not have an aggressive bone in her body BECAUSE OF THE TRAINING! She started out as a normal puppy - nipping, not listening, not able to walk on a leash. Within on a week, as soon as she learned that I am the boss (again, through the training) - she followed my command. Not through cruelty - through speaking their language. You must give this a try. Richard knows that the training is mostly with the client - which I think he cares about deeply. And of course, he love dogs. Seriously, all people say when they meet her is ""what a well trained dog! How happy she is! Wow, she actually listens to you!!"" She doesn't cower or whimper. She lives to please our family and is pure joy every day. I never imagined our life with this dog would be so great. Seldom in life do you get more than you expected. This training is that dream.
