I think if you go to Gerst Haus with the right mindset you will have an excellent time and a unique experience. First, this is not fine German Cuisine, you have to understand it's the German equivalent of a burger & beer joint. That said, I have had three tasty meals at Gerst Haus, my favorites include the fried pickles & their side dishes. Best of all are the frosty ""fishbowls"" of the refreshing & satisfying house beer. I love the beer hall decor and the feeling that I'm not in Nashville when I visit, they have a live Oompah band on Fridays & you may be lucky to have that pleasantly surly waiter dressed in eye catching lederhosen. I love this place, one of my favorites in Nashville. Don't expect 4 star cuisine or even cheery service but if you appreciate a satisfying meal, good beer, a unique environment & even enjoy a little darkness in your entertainment you will enjoy Gerst Haus.

Cons: none for me, I even love it's roughness
