I've been searching all over the Chicagoland area for a restaurant where I can get my barbeque fix while the family is able to enjoy food more to their own taste. I've finally found my new home at Smokey Bones! Started off with a big smile from the host at the door, he even opened the door for my wife. We were quickly seated at a large booth facing a large bank of TV's. Our seater soon explained that there was actually a speaker at our table where we would be able to listen to the TV's. Any place that offers ""free babysitting"" is aces in my book. Our server was over shortly introducing herself and offering a few suggestions. I was impressed how much information she had and how proud she sounded about the quality of the food. Oh, by the way, the restaurant was super clean, I couldn't believe it when our server told us the building was 30 years old! Back to the meal, piping hot onion rings and ice cold beer, I was in heaven. Before I knew it our main course had arrived. The server delievered our food correctly the first time, very nice touch. Every plate looked great, steam rising, full plates, and fresh looking. Very impressed again. I wasn't disappointed by the flavor either, it was fresh. And for dessert? A BAG OF DONUTS!?!?! But, wow, what a bag! Hot, Fresh, Donuts! Who would have thought of that for dessert, but the kids loved them. We will be making many more trips to my new favorite place! You've got to try it! Pros: Price, Food, Service, Ambience Cons: I didn't find this place 5 years ago!!
