Review content:
My son who is a fifth grader at a local school came home one afternoon excited about his school field trip to the LSU Rural Life Museum. He told my husband and I what a wonderful day he had and that he wished that school could be fun like that every day. They explored many of the outside buildings and went on a scavenger hunt in the barn. He insisted that we go the following weekend as a family. What my husband and I discovered was a place literally that took us back in time. We enjoyed the buildings like our son had, but as we were walking around it brought back many memories of our own childhood visiting our grandparents. From beginning of our time spent at the museum until we left, was a most injoyable time. The staff was very accomendating and had a real cute gift shop where you can buy books about Louisiana and toys from the old days. Pros: Architecture, grounds, gift shop Cons: outdoor museum, so weather can be a factor
