Review content:
I have lived at Canterbury for several years, therefore I believe I am a pretty good judge of what things are like here. When first moving in, the rent was reasonable and things went well. We then moved into a larger apartment. Since the move in date at the larger apartment, we told them the a/c didn't work. We set it at 50, and it still did not cool off the apartment. Our electric bills were 220 dollars a month in the summer, and it shouldn't have been that high...especially being we live down stairs. After constant complaint over several years, the a/c finally died. I didn't if I should cry out of happiness or sadness. We went two weeks in July without a/c. The apartment complex provided us with one small window unit, that we had to put in the bedroom of course. The entire rest of our apartment was out of use. You couldn't stand the heat. We finally got our new a/c, and now the bills are about 85 dollars in the summer. Also the rent constantly increases, ever time you renew your lease. Realize Canterbury is a very old apartment complex and it was built in the late 60's. All they pay is water, and the rest is all yours. The rent is set now at 700.00 for a 2 bedroom apartment. Recently we got new owners here, and after that things got worse. We are down to one working washing machine and one working dryer in each laundry area. The new owners said they would be making positive improvements to the buildings, and I haven't seen any. The staff, although didn't get things done quick enough, are very nice here. They will work with you on problems on moving in and out. They have never been rude or inconsiderate. Pros: nice staff, always friendly Cons: nice staff takes forever, and very high rental rates f
