Review content:
Thai Tanee has become my standy for delicious and reasonably priced Thai food. This unassuming restaurant in a little strip center across from Valley View on Alpha Rd is a definite hidden gem in the limited number of decent Thai restaurant offerings in Dallas. The food is always delicious and fresh. The service is super friendly. Delivery, if you are fortunate enough to live or work within 5 miles of the location, is always prompt and again super friendly. Menu highlights (so far) include the salad rolls with shrimp, which are the best fresh spring rolls I've had in a Thai restaurant to date. The curries are excellent as well, the green curry with chicken, zucchini, and onions is lovely, as is the Mussaman curry, a personal favorite. The spicy rice noodles are delicious...thin rice noodles with egg, onions, bell peppers, and choice of protein stir fried with dried Thai chili and nam pla (think Pad Thai without the sourness of tamarind water or the sweetness of palm sugar) never dissapoint. I've tried a few of the stir fried entrees like the fresh ginger chicken and the spicy basil beef, all of which were done quite nicely. The proteins are moist, tender, and never overcooked in my experience, and the vegetables always crisp and al dente...just as any stir fried dish should be. The only drawback to the food at this place in the opinion of this chili-head is that the dishes tend to be on the mild side, even if ordered ""Thai Hot."" Other than that, Thai Tanee hasn't dissapointed me yet. The consistently good quality of everything I have tried along with their excellent service and prices make this little out of the way place one of my top two or three Thai places in DFW for sure.
