My family heard of The Smoke House and wanted to try it. We are a Spanish and Black American family and on 06-10-09 we put our name on the list and 3 other couples put their name after us. The couple behind us were seated first and we didn't think anything of it. It was not until the other couples were seated next. Then we looked around and noticed we were the only couple of ethnic backround. We know not everyone is going to accept change or accept interracial marriage. We always ignore looks and comments because we know NOT everyone is against interracial marriage, but The Smoke House made it very clear we were not welcome. We were finally seated and it to our server 10 min to get our drinks. We began at this point to feel uncomfortable. Since we love to try new things we stayed thinking the food will make up for the lack of care. 30 minuts went by and the manager came out and looked over at us and said ""Oh no, you do not have your food"". He left and began to shake hands and talk to everyone but us. 45 min later our meal came out and my plate was cold and my husbands ribs were old and dry. Our server only came out 3 times. 1- to take our drink order and food, 2- to bring us our meal and to ask if my husband needed BBQ sauce, and 3- to bring us our bill and to go boxes. Our server took 10 min to get us drinks and we never had refills and it was an hour and 15 min before our food came. It only took 1 min to check us out ! This is the first time we have been to a public place and felt uncomfortable. DO NOT EAT AT THE SMOKE HOUSE. Nikkipiki HAS ANYONE ELSE FELT THIS WAY, PLEASE POST.
