My husband and I bought a house at the beginning of October and we got possesion of it in Sept. so that we could finish everything before our closing date. The one thing that was needed was a door and logs for the fireplace. We called fireplace builders of Indiana because that is where the fireplace was from. They had the door waiting in there showplace already and said all we needed to do was have them come out and install it . The fee for this was $65.00. The man came out about a week later and put the door on but said that he needed to order the logs. He got on the phone with someone at the shop and told them to order them. He told me that when they came in he would call and set up a time to come out and hook everything up and that this was included in the 65 charge. We waited three weeks for this to happen and finaly I called them back and asked what the status was on our order. He then informed me that the order had never been placed and that he would get them ordered at that time. I called them again two weeks after that and he proceeded to tell me that they still hadn't been put on order because they had to be paid in full before they would order them. I asked him why I wasn't informed of this at the time the order was supposed to be placed and he didn't have an answer for me but to say that they were in their busy season and it just slipped through. I told him at this time that I would need to talk to my husband and see what he wanted to do. My husband then went to there showroom and spoke with someone there and put down a deposit for the logs. that was two weeks ago and he has called them 3 times with no return calls from them. This is the worst company that we have ever had the missfortune of doing business with.
Pros: There is honestly nothing I can say good about them
Cons: They don't call back there is no follow up at all.
