My husband and I have been to Sol twice now. Once by ourselves and the second time we recommended it to our friends and went with them. Both times we have been very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. You need all three in order to be a GREAT restaurant. I'm from a large hispanic family from California (Napa, CA) and my mom is the best cook so for me to love a Mexican food restaurant says alot. The really cool thing is that it's not your typical burrito & taquito place. It's more of a gourmet, coastal Mexican menu. I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to eating out because I grew up on the west coast and hear about great restuarants in the Nashville area all the time, only to be disapointed when I try them out. Yes, Sol is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and it's worth it! FYI they also have great tequilla's. I love the quacamole (made table side) as well as the salsa. The seafood enchiladas are too die for! Also, try the chile relleno as an apetizer.....yummy! I highly recommend Sol to anyone. Pros: It's the some of the best food in the Nashville area. Great service and great drinks. Cons: I wish it was in Spring Hill where I live so I could eat there more!
