Between the high ratings in Citysearch and the absence of a listing in Zagat's, I figured some foul play might be behind the Citysearch ratings. I just got back from dinner at Il Cantuccio, and I now have total faith in the Citysearch ratings.
This restaurant has got it. I had the sole fillet and my date had the mushroom risotto. Both were exceptional and neither was too heavy. We also started off with the salmon appetizer and a bowl of minestrone. The minestrone was slightly better than average, but the salmon was sliced paper thin, spiced perfectly and simply delicious.
The prices were great for the quality of food (the above order came to approximately $45) and the service was friendly and quick. The decor was also a nice middle ground between cute and romantic. I'm going back and recommending it to friends.
