What a disappointment. Although I had heard negative things from around town, there was a positive article in the paper so I thought maybe it wasn't so bad-but I was very wrong. There are a handful of teachers who are excellent in the infant/toddler rooms. Beyond that, expect your child to have a different teacher every time you walk in the room. Expect your child to have teachers who spend more time talking to each other about gossip than taking care of them. Expect your child to be in a classroom that is just total chaos. Then expect the director to be dishonest about the education and training of her staff, shuffling of children and teachers, and lesson plans. Best thing I can say is don't take my word or anyone else's word that you don't know about this center. Look online for criteria of quality care, then measure this center against it. It WILL fall short-and the longer you are there the more you will see that. As someone educated in the field of early childhood and knowing what REALLY goes on-steer clear unless it's your last option.
