I tried to park on the public street in front of this hardware store. A man who apparently works at New Market hardware came out to yell at me and tell me to move my car. He had posted homemade signs on the public sidewalk that said, ""customer parking only."" On a public street? I pay taxes that pay for these streets. There was a plethora of parking on the opposite side of the street. Apparently this guy has nothing better to do (certainly, not servicing customers) than to heckle people for parking on the public street next to his building. He can rest assured that I will buy nothing from his hardware in the future. If I could give this store a 0, I would.
