Picture this: neighbors sharing a cup of Joe, kids sampling specialty milkshakes, massage therapists offering up a squeeze with your Chai tea, pets sitting with patrons on the curve, and tons of homemade goodies.
Packing in only local products, Crossroads features Richmond favorites such as rotating flavors of Bevs Ice cream, a number of Tammy Rostovs teas, and deserts by the 80 year old hometown hero, Quality Bakery. Not just for java, the eatery transcends the chain beanery stigma by offering a hearty selection of panini sandwiches, bagels, and vegetarian treats (try the Chili). The Ultimate Grilled Cheese ($5.50), made with three kinds of chesses, tomatoes, and pesto is perfectly grilled on a panini and difficult to finish due to its sheer size. Milkshakes, like Espresso Oreo, and smoothies, sporting names of nearby streets ($2.50), top off the perfect neighborhood experience.
Tip the barista and stroll through Forest Hill Park.
