We booked this for the first night of our honeymoon. We made the reservation in Nov. when it was under different ownership and reserved an ocean-view room for $219. I made the reservation online and in the comment section I mentioned that it was the night after our wedding - first night of honeymoon. It seems it was sold at some point and the name changed from Pierpointe Inn to On the Beach. We arrived on the night after our wedding and were taken to a Chevron gas station-view room instead of the ocean-view room. The receptionist told us the ocean view rooms were more expensive $300- 400 but that we could upgrade. I told her I already had reserved and paid for an ocean view room. I also told her it was the first night of our honeymoon. She ran down to the front desk to call her boss b/c she had no idea what to do. She came back & gave us an ocean view room. She was a nice girl but seemed inexperienced. The room was great - very luxurious & comfie. The next morning we had to leave early to catch a flight. We left just before 8AM and there was nobody downstairs. There wasn't even a muffin or anything. We weren't sure where to leave our key. There was no basket, or sign near the reception desk. I think we ended up pushing it under the door to the reception area. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and B&B's for work & fun and this place seems pretty amateurish. I wrote a letter telling them about the glitches b/c I assumed they'd want to know. The Innkeeper wrote me back a long letter basically telling me it was my fault and not to return. She also said that I hadn't told them it was my honeymoon. I had mentioned it in the comment section and I also told the girl when she tried to put us in the street view room but I'm not sure what happened. If you're going to charge the prices the pro's charge, you better learn to provide the service. We were treated better at a chain (Westin) than at this B&B. P.S. Check out Cayucos Beach Inn for value & service. Pros: Ocean view, gorgeous rooms Cons: Unprofessional & amateurish service
