I had my very first wax experience at Mr. and Mrs. Day Spa with Priscilla and I was not at all satisfied. I was going to Hawaii and didn't want to have to shave while I was there so decided to splurge and spend $75 for a complete leg and bikini wax. The experience itself was pleasant enough, and Priscilla made me feel very comfortable. However, when I got home I noticed quite a few patches of hair that she had completely missed (I couldn't tell with the lighting at the spa), and spent over an hour plucking out most of these. Then, about 3 days later, I started having a lot of hair growing back on my thighs and bikini area, and ended up having to shave for most of my trip anyways! I think when she waxed she may have broken the hair off instead of pulling it out at the root. I was very disappointed and annoyed about having spent so much money on something that didn't work, so I called the spa when I got back from my trip and spoke with the manager, Katie. I explained the situation to her and she basically told me it was normal that the hair grew back so quickly since it was my first wax. I told her that Priscilla had told me that I shouldn't have to shave for at least 2 weeks, and that I've had friends whose first wax job lasted them a lot longer, like 2-3 weeks, but Katie didn't offer me any kind of refund or complimentary service as compensation, just again said it was normal. I am very unsatisfied with the wax I got and how the manager handled it, and I will never go back to this spa for any kind of service.
