Businiess name:  Hula Hut

Hula Hut gets 5 stars because I can't give 6! I call this place ""upscale yet affordable."" They prove that everything you ""know"" about Hawaiian places is wrong. This is the kind of place where you would take a date on O'ahu, not a fast-food place with linoleum floor and menu on a lightboard. Hula Hut is a clean, comfortable, full-service restaurant, serving everything from steak to loco moco to adobo to diniguan. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip (I know, everybody says that, but I go from Pacifica)! They have two dining rooms, a small bar and even a gift shop. Unless you are there for take out, you are shown to a table and given a menu, the meal comes to you on a real plate, with real flatware, and the drinks are in glass instead of plastic. The food is highest quality, prepared well and presented with pride. It's quiet enough that you can hear the soft Hawaiian music that's playing. Most meals come with a a slice of the cake of the day. For all of this comfort and large portions, the prices are LOW -- adobo is $8.95, and comes with rice, tossed salad, a scoop of macaroni salad and dessert. Add lumpia and a glass of fruit juice (try the lilikoi or the guava!) and you spend less than $15. And the only time you will see styrofoam is if you order for take out. All in all, a great place to go. Pros: Everything! Cons: Out of the way
