Review content:
I went here with a couple friends on a Sunday night and really enjoyed it. The butternut squash and apple ravioli to start were delicious--the wild mushrooms on them were a great touch. And my hanger steak with herb butter was really tender and flavorful, and the fried scallions on the side were a nice variant on fries or onion rings. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, I thought... The place was mostly empty on a Sunday night. Not sure if that is the case on Fridays and Saturdays. My only complaint is that the service, while not bad, was a bit lackluster... it was odd that they gave us bread halfway through our appetizers and then cleared the bread with the appetizers. If you get upset by those sorts of things, it might bother you. But overall, the food and the prime E. Village location suggest that this place should be successful.
Pros: Food, location, nice classic Bistro style
Cons: So-so service
