Was shopping here today when tornado sirens started blaring...funnel cloud sightings were imminent and a tornado had already touched town a couple of miles down the road -- so the store staff opened their safe haven to all shoppers and staff (the meat cooler!) and invited all of us to ride out the storm in a safe place. Even passed out warm blankets for anyone who was a little too chilly. Then found another safe, warmer spot within the store for elderly and moms with babies to wait out the storm.
Several staffers had weather radios handy, and gave us all updates on the storm's progress...about 45 minutes later, the threat has passed and we all fanned back out into the store to finish our shopping.
I was really impressed with how well-organized, thoughtful and caring each and every Hen House employee was during this terribly unnerving event. Thanks to everyone at this superb store...you're the greatest!
