Review content:
We had heard many wonderful things about this restaurant, but were extremely disappointed when we finally visited ourselves. First, we waited for 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we'd been helped already. Of course, the people sitting behind us had arrived after we did and were already served their bread basket and drinks. Our child should have been given a child's plate as requested, but no one brought anything out to him until long after my husband and I had been served. We've eaten at many restaurants such as this in the past, and this was the most mediocre. The sides were very ""gravied"" down and unhealthy (spinach and mashies - mashies had lots of chunks), and all of the meats were highly over-salted. It was as if someone had dropped a salt shaker on everything. Brazilian food is known for its wonderful seasoning but not for it's having too much salt. Additionally, the server was extremely pushy about trying to charge us for being there for the show, though we had told them from the beginning that we weren't there for the show - just the food. By the way, the show is not at all intended for younger children. The talent we've seen on cruise ships was more authentic than the show we ended up seeing (pretty sad) - we had no choice, as it took forever to complete the dinner. We should not have had to continually ask for more sides. The amount they initially give is laughable. One of the servers was most wonderful and made every effort to bring us better meat, so we couldn't blame him for the poor cooking. We will not recommend this restaurant to anyone here in the Valencia area. Oh, and what were they thinking about keeping some of the original Hamburger Hamlet restaurant's old, red, vinyl booths??? And they were ripped as well. Overall disapppointing! Great night out for my birthday! Cons: Everything about it!
