Businiess name:  The Fish Restaurant- Japanese Sushi Bar & Lounge Uptown Dallas

Review content:
To be frank, I would be upset to be the owner of the restaurant and if I were the owner I would definitely do some closet cleaning from the service to management. My glass was cracked and the GM looked at me and simply said ""It happens."" I felt disillusioned by how cold he was towards the situation. The hot food took a lengthy amount of time and the sushi took even longer. To top that off it was all average. The Fish is beautifully designed but unfortunately a waste because the food and management failed to compliment it. The service was acceptable. Though she wasn't as knowledgeable as a server should be in this type of establishment, she was humble, kind, and sincere. I cannot reiterate how rude and ignorant the GM, who apparently is the only manager in the restaurant, was. Not only was he cold to my group and I, I overheard his verbal abuse toward our server. Nobody in any circumstance deserved to be treated or spoken to in that manner. To give this review a bit of credibility I am in fact an editor for a widely read food and wine publication in Dallas. The Fish does offer a beautiful and attractive lounge that is tended to wonderfully. The bartenders are very charismatic and most importantly make outstanding cocktails. So my advice is to enjoy The Fish for it's ambiance it can provide and for it's lounge which is perfect for an intimate and romantic rendezvous. The Fish is not a place to impress your personal V.I.P.'s however because the place lacks the ability to provide V.I.P. service. To give The Fish the benefit of the doubt I have dined with them 3 times. The first was lousy period. The second was average. The third was entertaining because of the shock value it provided on a Saturday night--watching the staff succumb to the overwhelming pressure to provide for their guests. As one might be able to assume, my unpleasant experiences motivate me to protect the public not to defame an establishment. Pros: Eye opening decor Cons: Management and food time.
