Review content:
We (a group of 6) decided to check this newer SOHO place out on a recommendation from a friend. Babouche didn't disappoint . The decor was spectacular and the low chairs/couches filled with pillows were surprisingly comfortable. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly (not to mention plentiful). The one thing that exceeded all the rest, however, was the food. We opted to start with several appetizers and share them. The tuna tartar was our collective favorite, but the hummus ranks among the best I've had. The cigares de crevette were very good and the salad with octopus (which was VERY tender) pleasantly surprised those who hadn't had octopus before. We ordered the Pastilla au poulet as an app - the cinnamon and sweet flavor probably ranked as our group's second favorite.
Pros: FOOD, service, decor/ambience
