The library is one of the best equipped in Westchester County. Be sure not to miss the Museum Gallery on the second floor, where art shows are always on exhibition.
This month, the gallery is hosting a musical opening reception on Wednesday evening, March 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. for a 2-1/2 month long exhibition of paintings & sculpture by artist, Westchester Philharmonic violinist & teacher David Tobey. In addition to his art, the party will feature Tobey himself performing on violin accompanied by keyboard Artist Kirk Enrenreich of Cortlandt Manor.
Everyone is cordially invited to view Tobey's art at the reception party and to enjoy the live music, refreshments and interesting conversation with artists, musicians, educators and others at the event. Admission is free.
The Friends of the White Plains Library and The White Plains Library Foundation will each receive 20% of proceeds from all artwork sales for the run of the show through June 15th. If you can't make the reception on the 30th be sure to catch the show before it closes on June 15th!
More information on the exhibition is on Tobey's web site at davidtobey (dot) com. Tobey can be reached at (914) 632-8226 or email him at: david@davidtobey (dot) com.
