I adopted my dog from the animal shelter and he was EXTREMELY matted. He was so matted that I wasn't sure how well he could be shaved because many of the mats were very close to the skin. Aside from not following my directions (I asked them to shave everything, including his face and tail because his fur was discolored) they did a great job on everything but his head and genitals! His head was just uneven and silly looking... something that I can definitely deal with... next time I'll just bring a photo of what I want... but they cut his genitals not once, not twice but 5 times!!! In spite of the fact that his genital area had just been shaved in order to be neutered and didn't need to be ""groomed""! And in the most sensitive sensitive area! Because of the location of the cuts I didn't notice until I got him home and he started whimpering and licking himself. He was actually bleeding from 2 of the cuts! I would think that the groomer would be careful of that area all the time, but especially when the dog has just had surgery! I guess not... If my dog behaved badly I could see how he could get cut, but the groomer actually said he was very well behaved and very calm the entire time and actually seemed happy to be there. Did he seem happy when you cut him? Seriously!
There were two girls working behind the counter when I dropped him off. A brunette who was very nice and a blond who was dissmissive and apparently ignored everything I told her. The owner was very nice as well, but I will not be going back to Dogs R Us for another butchering.
Pros: Friendly-ish service
Cons: Cut my dog 5 TIMES and didn't follow my directions
