Review content:
I have owned an HD DLP 1080I 72 inch tv for close to ten years. Please bear with me on this review. When I bought the tv, I was sold on the fact that no other maintenance would be needed except to change the ""bulb"" So Im like yay, ok. So the first 5 years were great. I had to purchace a bulb once. Then I moved downtown. ""sacramento"" I live by the freeway. I was here 6 months and the bulb blew out. So on a quick random search I found Harry's Dyna-tech Electronics. Ok, so I paid 280 for them to come out and replace the bulb. Just shy of four months later the bulb blew. and I mean blew up!. I was pissed. I called them, and they were really nice. They said hey, the bulb has a 90 day warranty but we will come out and give you a new bulb for 50. At first im thinking, what? maybe it was your bulb? But they said let us check everything out while we are there. So I said ok. Marco came out, (the same technician who installed the bulb 4 months ago. and he said there is so much dust, let me show you. They had to come out the next day to extract all the dust from inside my tv. I watched every step of what he did, OMG there was so much dust. Yes they removed the back of my tv. I learned a few things today. One being, The amount of dust you accrue can very well depend on where you live. And that my toshiba DLP 1080 I was not made with sufficient amount of fans for that year. Where I lived prior could handle it, where i live now cant. The life of the bulbs i have bought in the last 4 months proved that to me. They are very honest, and would rather find a solution to a customers problem even if it means reaching into their own pocket. This is the first review I have ever written. I really almost contemplated getting rid of my tv, but thanks to harry and marco I dont have to. Marco even took the time to show me how I can clean it on my own. They are honest, and that to me is hands down what is most important. If you want to save the life of your tv but don't know who to call, Im telling you now. call harr'y's Dyna-tech Electronics and ask for MARCO.
Sincerely, Cathi
