Review content:
This firm was hired by the city of West Allis to demolish some buildings near 78th and National Avenue. They did so but in the meantime, as a result of pounding and concrete, etc. flying all over the place, our home (adjacent to the site) had some basement windows damaged and in addition, landscaping paving blocks and fencing materials were damaged on our property by this firm. In addition, about 1 foot by 45 feet of dirt was removed from our backyard and not replaced. We spoke several times with theowner regarding damages - he told us to get some estimates to repair the windows and said he would replace the paving blocks that were either removed or damaged. We got an estimate on the windows and sent it to the firm. It was a very reasonable estimate as it involved only replacing one block in each glass block window versus the entire window. So, this firm sent us a check and we had the work done. The firm wanted us to sign the check and indicate all their obligations had been fullfilled. We signed the check and indicated the problem was not totally solved as we had not had our paver blocks replaced. We also went to the city, who did nothing about the problem. We never did have the additional problems solved - this firm just basically blew us off. So, if you are considering hiring this firm and want someone who is concerned about adjacent properties, look elsewhere - there are plenty of other firms as competition.
