Review content:
I have eaten at Restaurant Cuisine 2 or 3 times for dinner and 4 times for weekend brunch. For dinner, the food is well prepared, quick to be served and tastes excellent. The services was good and not intrusive. The Fixed Price dinner is a great deal The restaurant has a very relaxed environment with subdued colors and nice decoration, a bit upscale but not over the top. The crab cakes were very good, better than most others I have found in the bay area. i have tried 2 entrees and they were both very good, the duck confit and the pork tenderloin. What has kept me returning to Cuisine is the brunch. In the downtown Oakland area (City Center) I have not eaten at a good place for a nice weekend brunch and this is a needed addition. I have had the Eggs Benedict, Corned Beef Hash, Chiliquiles, and standard two egg breakfast. All were good but it was the Benedict that I most enjoyed. The chef knows how to poach an egg correctly and the sauce is not overdone. My kid and wife both agree. Pros: Great Brunch, Great prices on the Fixed Price dinner Cons: pork tenderloin is served medium, if you don't want pink, let them know.
