Review content:
I am not sure the change of ownership of Final Kick is a good thing. We loved this store when it was owned by the Frosticks but have been dissappointed since they left. Originally it was that they required us to leave a deposit to order shoes...that we could just drive down to someplace like Dicks and buy off the shelves. My husband orders a pair of shoes every month and had been doing so for quite some time. He could call the Frosticks, place the order and pick them up when they arrived. Convenient and friendly and supporting the little guy in our community. They have us on file and have for years. Suddenly a deposit was required before they could order. So, not as convenient but I understand that sometimes things change. I get my shoes there and needed a heart monitor. I told the sales person that I just needed a heart monitor and that is it. The watch he sold me would not stay in heart monitor mode. This is very cumbersome when running and trying to monitor. When I brought it back, I was told there would be a 15% restocking fee....for moving it from the top of the counter into the case under it? This is pretty substantial for something that doesn't perform as I expected, as I asked for a HEART MONITOR, not a watch. The owner was as pleasant as possible about when I asked him to come out to talk to me. He said that their was not a heart monitor that would just measure your heart constantly. My reply was that would have been nice to know when I came in a week ago. Certainly might have saved me $17 to restock...The sales person interjected that he ""never said it would stay on monitor"". Which is kind of funny because when I asked him to help me set it up initially, I made a big point about just needing to monitor my heart and after asking for help and reading the book in the store, I actually told him about some of the Garmin's features. I even told him that I already had a Garmin that would do all the other stuff!
