Doucet gets and 8+. The bartenders are family and super friendly. If you dig small bars, with a bit of a hometown feel, then you'll dig Doucet. I've been in Castro Valley for 6 months now and this is my favorite in town thus far. Friendly atmosphere: classic rock type, outdoor smoking area in the back, 3 pool tables, juke box with downloadable song option, shuffleboard, moose and ram taxidermy, Raiders/Sharks/A's paraphernalia, and wind surfing decorations. Plenty of bumper stickers on the bar fridges to keep even the most untalkative of the crowd busy and fascinated.
Pros: Good folks. Easy talkin. Friendly bartenders.
Cons: As most of us know, "don't judge a book by its cover"
