Review content:
Today, my husband and I went to pick up our vehicle which was supposed to be getting fixed at Spicers Automotive. It had been dropped off this morning at 9am and I was told that it would be done by the time they closed(6pm). I called around 2pm to check on it and was told it was being looked at by a mechanic and that they'd call me back when they knew more. I called again at 5:30pm asking if it was finished and the man laughed and said no. He said they would have to look at it more the next day. I explained that it would not be possible since I needed the car the next day to get to work. I was told then to come pick up my car. When we got to the business, we were greeted by Paul Spicer and one other employee. They let us inside when we asked for the keys to our car. The other man said ""that'll be 75 dollars."" My husband asked what we were paying for since he was told by one of the other employees that diagnostics were free, and since they hadn't actually done anything or found out what was wrong with the car, he didn't know why we had to pay 75 dollars. Paul Spicer said, ""my men don't work for free. You don't work for free, and (pointing to me) I bet you don't work for free either."" My husband asked to see a list of prices that showed how much diagnostics costed, and Paul Spicer pointed to his mouth saying ""right here, read my lips. 75 dollars."" At that time, he began to raise his voice. Since I was in close proximity to him and it had begun to make me feel uncomfortable, I asked him if he could lower his voice, and said that he didn't have to yell. At that point with his voice still raised he physically advanced toward me invading my personal space causing me to feel threatened. He said ""I own this place, I don't have to lower my voice."" I then asked him to move back out of my personal place to which he replied ""No one tells me where to stand in my own business."" He did not back up. I was emotionally upset and told my husband just to pay them the money so we could get our car back. I told Paul Spicer I'd be submitting a complaint to which he replied ""okay!"" I then left the building. My husband came out a few minutes later and had the keys to the car and the receipt for payment. He told me that he asked Paul what they were accredited with and that Paul said, ""Nobody! I've had this business for 50 years."" We left the premises after that. I do not feel we were treated respectfully or in a civilized manner and I am still emotionally upset. A business should not be able to make it's customers feel threatened.
