I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. My father waited hours for doctors and nurses to attend to him. He couldn't swallow anything - not even a drink of water and was transferred to Montefiore to see a specialist. His IV was his lifeline and it took them 5 hours to put one in him after a test they had taken him for. Nobody could tell us anything and I felt they treated him like a lab animal and could care less that he needed medical attention. The nurses said they would page a doctor to come and talk to us and they never came. We had to ""catch"" them as they were doing their rounds. My father would ring the nurse call button and it would take 45 minutes for them to come to him. Despite the original problem not being taken care of, he couldn't get regular medication for diabetes, gout, etc. on top of it. We were at their mercy and when your father is 85 - it may seem like he has nothing but time on his hands - but time is of the essence. They didn't get that concept. I just wonder if their family members were in that hopital - if they would have the same care. My guess is that they wouldn't even be sent there. THE WORST HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!
