I disagree with the first and only other review on this page. I have a family member who, unfortunately chose to go there. Trust me when I tell you that the administrative staff is completely out of touch with the clinical staff, and, basically, with each other. The primary universal concern among most, if not all, of the staff members is their take home pay. If the CEO was paying more attention to his operation, he would be able to see ways in which he could actually save money while improving the care and the quality of life for the residents.
For one small example, the food is horrible, ... most of it is canned and/or highly processed. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of nutrition could determine this. Truly, the repetitive meals that are extremely high in nothing but simple sugars are a recipe for the rapid development of metabolic syndrome, a condition for which the elderly are at greatly increased risk. Money could be saved, nutrition could be improved, and the local economy could get a boost from the facility going local, organic, and seasonal. I manage a medical facility, so this and other conundrums that exist within this facility were highly evident to me immediately upon my first visit there. If it were up to me, I would actually fire half of the existing staff and replace half of that number with people who were more interested in rewarding career paths than being white collar day laborers whose only interests lie in riding the clock and collecting as much unearned pay as humanly possible.
As for me. I would take the Smith and Wesson cure before I would ever consider making this place my home.
