Fifteen years ago, I lived very close to Unique and started visiting. I don't think there was an item in there that was over $5. Things were nicely organized. I could get great clothes, brand new shoes, and some wonderful antiques and collectibles.
It is not like that anymore. Prices are too high, even on discount days. Know your prices before you shop or you will pay too much! And forget about finding antiques in good condition. They're just not there any more that makes me think they're selling these items elsewhere or online.
I love that Unique continues to be well organized. I've always had positive experiences with the staff and visited so often (up until about a year ago) that they recognized me and we'd chat. But, I haven't been there in a year or so because the prices are just too high. I won't be back again unless this changes and from what I can tell, most regulars no longer patronize the place either.
